Co-Founder & Story Alchemist
Sarah is passionate about supporting indie creators in manifesting their creative potential.
With a background in literary studies, event coordination, and marketing, she leverages her skills to amplify and illuminate storytellers. A facilitator and content creator, broadly speaking, Sarah is dedicated to the arts of audio production, voice acting, and graphic design.
As the creator, host, and producer of the podcast Horror/Stories, Sarah is an experienced interviewer and audio-editor. She has designed promotional materials and offered behind-the-scenes support for numerous authors and has a not-so-secret alter-ego as an audiobook narrator and meme-crafter. She is the owner of Definitely Not Your Problem (DNYP) Author Services LLC, a subsidiary of Spellcraft Novel Media.
Veronica
Co-Founder & Creative Conjurer
Veronica is a storyteller at the crossroads of marketing, photography, and sound. With a background in brand strategy and creative media, she merges artistry and precision to amplify voices and evoke emotion. Through Spellcraft Novel Media, she brings stories to life through visual and audio alchemy, crafting experiences that shimmer with intention, beauty, and meaning.
Beyond Spellcraft, she is the cohost and audio editor of Spill the Spice Podcast, where she blends her passion for storytelling and connection with social media marketing, content strategy, and creative direction. Whether behind the mic or the editing console, Veronica infuses every project with warmth, intuition, and a deep belief that every story is its own spell.
Matty
Sonic Sorcerer & Sound Weaver
Matty is a music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer whose work lives in the space between words and feeling. His creative focus centers on this question: What is lost when we rely on language alone, and how can music fill those elusive gaps in communication? Inspired by sonic gems such as Radiolab, Invisibilia, Heavyweight, and 20,000 Hz, Matty approaches sound as a form of seasoning that transforms a podcast or story into a fully realized sensory experience.
For more than 20 years, Matty has performed and produced around the world, from New York to Shanghai. His notable music projects include Kainalu, Munya, and Vansire. His list of mentors includes Dennis Mackerel, drummer and band leader for The Count Basie Orchestra, Juan De Marcos Gonzalez, Grammy winner and founding member of the Buena Vista Social Club, and Trent Prall, bassist and synth player for Djo. Matty currently works as a live audio engineer in a concert venue and has collaborated with artists including Brother Ali, Reggie Watts, and The Wood Brothers.
Matty’s philosophy is grounded in intention, humanity, and craft. In an era where billionaires are taking music, art, and literature to train AI with devastating impacts on working class artists and the environment, Matty remains committed to a fully human creative process. Every composition he creates is one hundred percent handcrafted without the use of AI tools.
